A journey for mental health

SwissRe hosted our first post row talk - a Fireside Chat on World Mental Health Day, 10 October 2023. “Pacific Discovery - a journey for mental health” was presented by broadcaster Helen Fospero, with guest speakers Cameron Parker, Stuart Thompson, Celo Celovschi and Tia Patricios: the first reinsurance team to row an ocean. The talk was recorded - with thanks to the events team at SwissRe.

2800 miles

We rowed from California to Hawaii using only our own strength and endurance.

4 people

We became the 4th mixed team to ever complete the voyage and set a new world for the fastest mixed team to cross the Pacific.

Post row talks

Would you like to hear about what happened on the row? The set backs we experienced and overcame, the incredible paradigm shifts, the ‘aha’ and sheer goosebump moments?

We would love to share our stories and learnings with you which start with our minds and finish with our realisation of the unbelievable power of team. Book us now.

Our cause

Mind - a mental health charity in the UK – won't give up until everyone experiencing mental health challenges gets the support and respect they deserve.

We are not going to stop sharing our story until we’ve raised £100,000 to help Mind make this happen.

why are we rowing...

We believe that mental health is the foundation of physical health, that it should be talked about, treated and supported equally.

let's work together...

Given the prevalence of mental health issues worldwide, we have to work together to make a difference. Nobody should suffer alone or in silence.

Would you row an ocean for mental health?

Our dream just got bigger. We want to invite another team from the (re)insurance industry to pick up the baton and row the Pacific in 2025. Say YES.
